The importance of physicians and other healthcare providers having adequate professional liability and medical malpractice coverage cannot be overstated. In our highly litigious society, medical malpractice lawsuits are increasing at an alarming rate, sometimes with astronomical monetary judgments awarded by juries to plaintiffs.

As part of our locum tenens service, Jackson & Coker Medical Group offers paid medical malpractice coverage to all contract providers while they are on assignment. The majority of our locum tenens bookings are covered by a Claims-made policy, which is commonplace within the physician-staffing industry. (An exception for Jackson & Coker concerns Psychiatry assignments, which are covered by a special Occurrence-based policy.) Our carrier is rated “A” by A.M. Best Company, the industry’s leading assessor of commercial policies.

Our medical malpractice insurance covers all the medical fields that we represent. A Certificate of Insurance (COI) is provided for every practitioner booked for a locum tenens assignment.
