    • 408 extended-care beds and a 124-bed intermediate care unit for patients with severe mental illness.
    • Also serves the female forensic in-patient psychiatric center for the southern 1/3 of Alabama.
    • Inpatient services: Patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
    • Write prescriptions for patients using APA and Court ordered guidelines.
    • Responsible for overall clinical responsibility to coordinate patient care.
    • Provide psychiatric opinion orally and in writing to the Court regarding patient’s condition.

    •Need is for 100% adult psychiatry for 1 to 2 days per week, and vacation coverage

    •Patients are in either early primary chemical dependency treatment or in one of their extended care programs
    •Client will consider Doctors with an addiction fellowship or Doctors who have experience working with chemical dependency / dual diagnosis patients. Addiction fellowship is a plus but not required
    •Client has a 45 bed inpatient unit and 173 patients overall.
